Syukur Alhamdulillah, tahun ini
adalah tahun yang bersejarah bagi dunia pendidikan yang ada di daerah kepulauan
yaitu Pulau Bawean. Sepanjang sejarah pendidikan di wilayah Kabupaten Gresik,
setiap kegiatan perlombaan dan kompetisi baik siswa,guru, kepala sekolah dan
pengawas selalu di dominasi oleh mereka yang berdomisili di daratan Gresik.
Namun untuk tahun ini, wajah dunia pendidikan di pulau Bawean boleh berbangga
karena telah dapat menorehkan sejarah dengan tinta emas yaitu Juara 1 lomba
Kepala Sekolah Berprestasi Tahun 2012 Tingkat Kabupaten Gresik.
Perjalanan panjang karier hingga
mencapai puncak prestasi mejadi Kepala Sekolah berprestasi tidaklah mudah dan berat
sekali. Sosok beliau yang sederhana dan low profil menunjukkan adanya semangat
yang tinggi dan impian yang mulia terhadap kemajuan pendidikan di Pulau Bawean.
Ini terbukti dengan program integrasi imtak ( iman dan takwa ) dan ipteks (
Ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan seni ) yang telah dilaksanakan di lembaganya.
Sebelum membicarakan program unggulan di
sekolah ini, maka kita harus mengenal lebih dekat sosok beliau. Nama lengkapnya
Waluyo Iskak,S.Pd.MM dan Lahir di Jombang tanggal 7 Maret 1971. Istri beliau
bernama Musammah,S.Pd.SD juga seorang guru SD. Beliau memiliki 2 orang anak, (1)
bernama Bayu Al Fahmi Liddin lahir di Gresik tanggal 14 Maret 1998, ( 2 )
bernama Priyangga Arsy lahir di Gresik
tanggal 2 Mei 2003. Pendidikan yang di tempuh yaitu SDN 1 Plandaan( 1979-1985 ), SMPN 1 Plandaan
( 1985-1988), SPGN Jombang ( 1988-1991 ), D2 PGSD Malang ( 1991-1993 ) , Ungres
Gresik ( 2001-2003 ) dan STIE Mahardika di Surabaya ( 2003-2005 ). Di bidang prestasi, beliau pernah juara
harapan 1 lomba karya tulis tingkat
Nasional tahun 2007, juara 3 guru berprestasi tingkat kabupaten tahun 2003 dan
tahun 2005, juara 3 kepala sekolah berprestasi tahun 2010 , serta juara 1
kepala sekolah prestasi tahun 2012 ini.
Semenjak diangkat sebagai guru tahun
1996 di SDN 3 lebak Kecamatan Sangkapura Pulau Bawean Kabupaten Gresik sudah
bertekad dan berniat untuk selalu mengabdi dan berjuang di bidang Pendidikan
walau berada di daerah Kepulauan seperti Pulau Bawean. Banyak teman guru yang
berasal dari Jawa yang tidak betah atau tidak kerasan berada di Pulau Bawean
ini, karena kondisi geografis yang jauh, transportasi yang sulit dan mahal,
sarana telekomunikasi yang terbatas, dan bahan kebutuhan pokok yang sangat mahal.
Namun bagi beliau menjadi tantangan dan lahan perjuangan untuk kemajuan
pendidikan di daerah kepulauan, khususnya di Pulau Bawean.
Namun
berkat do’a dan perjuangan yang lama dan keras, Alhamdulillah beliau telah
membuktikan dan memetik hasilnya sebagai juara 1 lomba kepala sekolah tingkat
Kabupaten Gresik tahun 2012. Sekaligus
memupus anggapan dan mitos sebagian besar orang bahwa guru atau kepala sekolah
dari Pulau Bawean tidak dapat berprestasi di tingkat Kabupaten Gresik.
Adapun bagaimana tahapan untuk meraih
puncak prestasi kepala sekolah tingkat Kabupaten Gresik tahun 2012 sangat ketat
dan kompetitif. Pelaksanaan seleksi
lomba guru, kepala sekolah dan pengawas sekolah tingkat kabupaten Gresik tahun
2012 dilaksanakan selama tiga tahap. Tahap
1 adalah tahap pelaksanaan tes tulis. Tes tulis ini terdiri dari dua bagian
yaitu tes intelegensi ( kemampuan ) dan tes akademik ( kompetensi kepribadian,
kompetensi peadogogik, kompetensi kewirausahaan, kompetensi sosial dan
kompetensi manajerial ). Tahap 2 ada dua bagian yaitu bagian pertama wawancara
atau tanya jawab baik berbahasa Indonesia maupun berbahasa Inggris yang
materinya tentang kompetensi, inovasi program dan kepribadian, bagian kedua
presentasi karya tulis dengan menggunakan Laptop dan LCD dengan program Power
point. Tahap 3 adalah kunjungan ke lapangan atau wawancara dengan stakeholder (
guru, komite sekolah atau paguyuban ), apabila peserta masuk tiga besar.
Agenda pelaksanaan tes tulis, wawancara
atau tanya jawab, dan presentasi karya
tulis dilaksanakan selama dua hari. Untuk hari pertama tanggal 26 Juni 2012
adalah pelaksanaan tes tulis yaitu tes intelegensi dan tes akdemik. Sedang hari
kedua tanggal 27 Juni 2012 adalah pelaksanaan wawancara berbahasa Indonesia dan
berbahasa Inggris dan presentasi karya tulis dengan jadwal yang sudah
ditentukan untuk semua peserta lomba. Suasana pada saat lomba sangat menegangkan
dan rasa hati yang tidak menentu karena
semua peserta yang hadir pasti sudah mempersiapkan diri dengan matang untuk
bisa menjadi terbaik. Namun pada saat itu juga semua peserta memiliki peluang
yang sama untuk bisa menjadi juara. Bagi beliau atau Bapak Waluyo Iskak,S.Pd.MM
datang ke Gresik dari Pulau Bawean sudah
mempersiapkan dengan matang agar tidak mengecewakan bagi warga pendidikan di
Pulau Bawean.
Setelah melalui tahapan demi tahapan dan
tibalah saatnya pengumuman hasil seleksi Lomba guru, kepala sekolah dan
pengawas sekolah prestasi tingkat kabupaten Gresik tahun 2012. Pada tanggal 11
Juli 2012 adalah hari Rabu jam 09.00 WIB, beliau melihat pengumuman melalui di
internet yang beralamat www.dispendik gresik
go.id.
dan hasilnya Alhamdulillah menjadi juara 1 untuk kategori kepala sekolah
prestasi serta berhak mewakili Kabupaten Gresik ke tingkat Propinsi Jawa Timur
tahun 2013.
Dengan kemenangan pada lomba kali ini,
semoga tidak dipandang remeh atau kecil bahkan menjadi salah satu peserta yang harus diperhitungkan di masa
mendatang. Lebih dari itu, harapan beliau agar tahun-tahun berikutnya menjadi
motivasi dan inspirasi bagi guru, kepala sekolah dan pengawas sekolah yang
mengikuti lomba yang sama.
Kesuksesan yang dicapai bukan
semata-mata kesuksesan pribadi tetapi merupakan kesuksesan bersama bagi semua
warga pendidikan di Pulau Bawean, khususnya di SDN 1 Tanjungori. Keberhasilan
ini, sementara memang diruang lingkup kabupaten namun sebagai modal awal untuk
melanjutkan keberhasilan atau kesuksesan ke tingkat yang lebih luas dan lebih
besar. Insya Allah dalam setahun ini, beliau akan mempersiapkan lomba kepala
sekolah untuk tingkat Propinsi Jawa Timur tahun 2013 dan semoga berhasil seperti
harapan kita bersama.
Harapan beliau kepada semua warga
pendidikan baik guru, kepala sekolah dan
pengawas sekolah yang akan mewakili lomba prestasi ke tingkat kabupaten untuk
mempersiapkan lebih matang baik dokumen
portofolio, karya tulis atau The best practice, kompetensi dan kepribadian. Di
samping itu, tidak lupa harus mampu menunjukkan keberhasilan dan kemajuan baik bidang akademik dan non
akademik di tingkat kecamatan atau kabupaten. Apabila sudah dipersiapkan segala
dokumen dengan matang maka mental spiritual harus dipersiapkan juga. Karena
dengan semangat yang tinggi dan niat
yang ikhlas berjuang di bidang pendidikan merupakan ladang ibadah dan
pengabdian kepada Allah SWT sehingga

But this year, the face of education in Bawean island can be proud for having made history with golden ink that is a contest winner of 2012 Outstanding Principal Gresik regency level.
The long journey to reach the top career accomplishments form the principal outstanding and the weight is not easy at all. His figure is a simple and low profile showed a high spirit and noble dreams of advancement of education in the island of Bawean. This is evidenced by the integration program imtak (faith and piety) and science and technology (Science, technology and art) that have been implemented in the institution.
Before discussing the flagship program in this school, then we should know better, he figures. Waluyo full name Isaac, and Born in Jombang S.Pd.MM dated March 7, 1971. His wife was named Musammah, S.Pd.SD also an elementary school teacher. He has two children, (1) named Bayu Liddin Fahmi Al was born in Gresik dated March 14, 1998, (2) named Priyangga Throne born in Gresik dated May 2, 2003. Education in the Elementary School take a Plandaan (1979-1985), SMPN 1 Plandaan (1985-1988), SPGN Jombang (1988-1991), D2 PGSD Malang (1991-1993), Ungres Gresik (2001-2003) and STIE Mahardika in Surabaya (2003-2005). Achievements in the field, he never won a writing competition hope the national level in 2007, won three district-level teacher achievement in 2003 and 2005, won three principal achievements in 2010, and won a school principal achievement of this in 2012.
Appointed as a teacher since 1996 at SDN 3 lebak Bawean Island District Sangkapura Gresik regency has been determined and intend to always serve and fight in the fields of education even in areas like the island of Bawean Islands. Many teacher friends who came from Java that is not comfortable or do not feel at home in this Bawean Island, because of geographical conditions that far, which is difficult and costly transportation, telecommunication facilities are limited, and basic materials are very expensive. But for him to be a challenge and land struggles for the advancement of education in the islands, especially on the island of Bawean.
But thanks to prayer and struggle long and hard, Alhamdulillah he has proved and reap the results as the principal champion of a race in 2012 Gresik regency level. Assumptions and myths dispelled at once most people that the teacher or principal of Bawean Island can not be accomplished in Gresik regency level.
As for how the stages to reach the top of the principal achievements in 2012 Gresik regency level is very tight and competitive. Implementation of the race selection of teachers, principals and school district superintendent in 2012 Gresik implemented over three phases. Stage 1 is the implementation stage written test. Written test consists of two parts: a test of intelligence (ability) and academic tests (personal competence, competence peadogogik, entrepreneurial competence, social competence and managerial competence). Stage 2 there are two parts, namely the first interview or question and answer both Bahasa Indonesia and English-language material about the competence, innovation programs and personalities, the second part of the paper presentation by using the Laptop and LCD with Power Point program. Phase 3 is the field visits or interviews with stakeholders (teachers, school committee or the community), when participants entered the top three.
Agenda implementation written test, interview or question and answer, and the presentation of papers held over two days. For the first day on June 26, 2012 is the implementation of the written test and a test of intelligence tests akdemik. Was the second day, June 27, 2012 is the implementation of the interviews in Indonesian and English-language papers and presentations with the schedule set for all race participants. Success is achieved not only personal success but it is a joint success for all residents on the island of Bawean education, particularly at SDN 1 Tanjungori. This success, while the scope of the district is in the room but as the initial capital to continue the success or success to a wider and larger. Insha Allah in this year, he will prepare for the principal race of East Java in 2013 and hopefully be as successful as we hope together.
